Our Impact

Our ImpactBYMC’s program is designed to help disadvantaged young mothers become self-sufficient adults. Through intensive and proactive community outreach, we connect young mothers to our high-quality support services and leadership development opportunities so that they remain positively engaged in school and community life.

Disadvantaged young mothers value education as a pathway to economic security, however past educational failure and other school barriers compromise a young mother’s success. By providing critical support to disadvantaged young mothers, The Brooklyn Young Mothers’ Collective can positively impact the future success of young mothers and their children.

Ultimately, BYMC aims to ensure that disadvantaged young mothers are appropriately supported by government agencies and community stakeholders. BYMC believes that disadvantaged young mothers deserve support so that they are able to become self-sufficient adults and have the opportunity to lead healthy, productive, and happy lives.
